HIT ON LINUX SERVER ADMINISTRATION
The main objectives of the TEQIP-II project are Strengthening Institutions to improve Learning Outcomes and Employability of Students. Many organizations visiting campuses for recruitment point out that the employability of students are not as expected due to poor communication and professional skills.
The broad objectives of high-intensity training on “Linux Server Administration” are
a) To provide students with the necessary skills and abilities to work as a professional Linux system administrator.
b) To make the participant completely knowledgeable in Linux System Administration and to provide in-depth coverage on Linux system fundamentals (the essentials of Linux) as well as advanced administration including monitoring and troubleshooting.
c) To make the participant proficient with the important concepts and aspects of Linux sub-systems like User/Group/Process Management, Automated Job Scheduling, Backup, Networking, package management, installation, event log files, monitoring and troubleshooting aspects which are necessary to perform regular day-to-day operations efficiently on a Linux System. The course will be focusing primarily on CLI commands as opposed to GUIs so that the participant will have a significantly high learning curve
d) To assist the Placement Cell of the College for a placement drive.
