Women’s Cell

The Women's Cell functions with the objective of empowering girl students with confidence to face the challenges of life. It proposes to organize programs for enabling the lady students of today to become the responsible women of tomorrow who can handle any responsible position with greater confidence and commitment, efficiency and effectiveness. Another objective of this cell is to prevent gender discriminations.The Women’s cell of the college has the responsibility of addressing the grievances of women students as well as to ensure a healthy and hygienic physical conditions in the campus.

Women's Cell Activities

On 8th August 2017, Womens' Cell conducted a motivational speech 'Awake Women, Tomorrow is Yours' by the 2017 year's IFS selected Ann Mary George, Alumnus of IHRD.

On 10th November, an one day training program sponsored by TEQIP Phase-II was conducted for first year female students on "Good health habits and personality development

On 27th September 2014, Womencell of CEC organised a one day program for first year girl students.

The forenoon session was on 'Stress Management'. The resourse person was the Psychologist, Mr. Anoopkumar T.V.

The afternoon session was on "Personality Development'. The talk was delivered by Ms. Divya G.Nair, Bank Officer at Vaikom. She has also server as a National Trainer under JCI of Kottayam chapter

The cell has conducted the following programmes previously:

*Class on Health and Hygiene. By Dr Sangeetha Mohan, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Govt Medical College, Alappuzha.

*Seminar on The Legal Rights of Women by Adv. Sheeba M

*Talk on Women and Technology, by Smt. Jyothi Narayanan, Manager, Keltron, who is also the state coordinator of Sthree Vedi.

*Class on Safety and Security of Women by the Deputy Superintend of Police, Cherthala.

*The Women’s cell also celebrates International Women’s Day on 8th of March every year and conducts quiz and debating programs in connection with the celebrations
